When I was in elementary school and you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would have said marine biologist, all I wanted to do was go to the aquarium or beach. I started my career when I was in my last quarter of undergraduate school and Jessica Cote (yes, an owner of Blue Coast) contacted my professor at the Evergreen State College, looking for an intern to chase around rocks on the beaches of Puget Sound. In a few months I graduated and began working full time with Jessica at Pacific International Engineering. The company moved to Golder Associates where I was able to travel the world, mostly conducting oceanographic data collection programs, but also fisheries research, contaminated sites, and wetland studies.

I am the the lead (and only) ecologist at Blue Coast and provide ecological services for projects. I am also the lead for ArcGIS at Blue Coast and use it for data analysis and data presentation. I also collect and process oceanographic data for our projects including waves, currents, and topography.

I use my inter-disciplinary background and experience to ensure we evaluate the environmental benefits and impacts of our projects and am excited to be working on research and restoration projects in Puget Sound.
