I grew up in the Puget Sound region and have spent most of my life in the area. After spending time abroad and in a variety of places in the U.S. during my time in the Coast Guard I was missing the mountains and Sound and knew I wanted to be back in the northwest. Since childhood I’ve had a passion for nature and maps and found a way to scratch that itch when I discovered Geographic Information Systems. Along the way I also developed an interest in civil design and added CAD design to my toolkit, as well.
I’ve worked on many types of environmental engineering projects, from permitting/planning to RI/FS, and conceptual thru final designs. I enjoy the combination of engineering, science, and art that my career has allowed me to experience and love being able to jump between many disciplines and techniques to contribute to the restoration and preservation of the place I call home. Away from work I’m likely spending time with my family and often can be found fishing or skiing.
