After graduating from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA and working as an economic researcher at University of British Columbia, I developed a strong interest in green building. To enable me to work in the green building industry, I obtained a masters degree in civil engineering from Washington State University in 2009 and returned to Bellingham where I worked at a firm specializing in net zero building systems design. I subsequently worked at environmental company focused on remediation projects in the PNW and British Columbia (Canada), from the remedial investigation stage through construction management, before transitioning to the public sector as project manager for wide range of marine projects. I joined Blue Coast in 2022, where I have been able to combine my love of the PNW coastal waters with my career.
